Getting started!

Well.....I've officially decided to attempt the blogging thing on order to communicate a little better with family and friends that we just don't get to talk to on a regular basis! Facebook has provided us the opportunity to stay in touch with some, but I wanted to take advantage of another way to share the events in our lives! Please bear with me as I learn how to navigate postings and add pictures and videos! I am fortunate to have many blogger friends that will hopefully help me along the way.
I guess to start, if you missed our Christmas card this year.....I have a huge apology to send because I just DID NOT get them out this year! Charlie and I were home alone for the last six months while Joe served a 6 month western pacific depolyment. Life got hectic with work and all other unplanned events that life throws at us and I just didn't get it done. So consider this your informal MERRY CHRISTMAS! We hope everyone has a safe, healthy, and wonderful holiday season, as we have been blessed with so many things to be grateful for this year.
I mentioned that Joe was deployed for 6 months....we just welcomed him home one week ago! He left in June right before Father's day and we were lucky enough for them to stay on schedule to be home for the holidays. Charlie and I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas present and we are taking advantage of all the daddy time we can get. The reunion between Charlie and Joe was so touching and I will share videos/pictures as soon as possible.
Shortly before Joe left, we found out that we were pregnant with baby number 2! Sooo....that means that I am currently 7 months, (33 weeks and to be exact) pregnant with our little girl. We couldn't be more thrilled! If she is anything like her brother, we are anticipating her timely arrival on February 8th.
I hope to post more as I learn how this 'blogging' thing works, but in the meantime, know that we are always curious to hear about what you and your families are up to. Love to all, and again, wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
